My Journey
Hey there, I’m Allie — a UX/UI designer working at the intersection of storytelling, visual intuition, and human-centered design. I’m drawn to creating digital experiences that feel clear, emotionally aware, and quietly intentional.
I grew up in a multicultural household and spent over a year traveling the world, which made me highly attuned to the small, often unspoken layers of communication — gesture, timing, tone, presence. Over time, I started to see meaning not just in what is said, but in how it's felt and interpreted across different contexts.
This perspective deepened when I taught high school literature and special education. Storytelling became less about narrative alone and more about perception — how different people access, interpret, and hold information. It also shaped how I think about accessibility, and the responsibility of designing for different cognitive and emotional experiences.
Outside of UX, I draw regularly. It’s a space where structure dissolves and intuition takes over — where composition, emotion, and narrative are explored without constraint. These practices feed back into my design work, and in this way, I've come to see design as an essential human experience.
